UAN is a combination of 3 different forms of nitrogen, each available to the plant in different stages of the metabolization of N allowing for the immediate release of N (through Urea) and the slow release of N (through the ammonium nitrate).

Urea Ammonium Nitrate or UAN is a combination of 3 different forms of nitrogen, each available to the plant in different stages of the metabolization of N. Combining dissolved urea at 50% and dissolved ammonium nitrate for the other 50%, UAN is a perfect cross-season fertiliser to stimulate plant growth when soil temperatures are relatively low.
UAN is a liquid fertilizer that is made by mixing urea and ammonium nitrate. UAN is a Nitrogen solution that provides both quick and slow-release forms of nitrogen to plants. It is a popular fertilizer among farmers as it can be easily applied using irrigation systems, and it is relatively easy to transport and handle.
Urea is a source of quick-release nitrogen, which is immediately available for plants to use. Ammonium nitrate, on the other hand, is a source of slow-release nitrogen, which is gradually released into the soil over time. This makes UAN a good choice for farmers who want to provide their crops with both a quick boost of nitrogen and a steady supply of nitrogen over time.
North Island and South Island pricing applies.
UAN: Urea Ammonium Nitrate is perfect for application on the shoulder seasons when soil temperatures have dropped.
The combination of N gives the plant three different sources N to use as energy each following a different path to be metabolised by the plant.
